Mariana Arando – Touch Tuina Founder

Along with Errol Lynch, Mariana Arando is the co-founder of Touch Tuina and is a vastly experienced therapist, committed to providing holistic, individualistic treatments incorporating a variety of Eastern and Western body and facial work techniques.

She is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, British Manual Lymphatic Drainage Association and teaches accredited courses in Traditional East Asian Medicine alongside Errol Lynch. Together they have raised the standards of treatment & profile of Tuina outside of Asia and truly made it their own therapy!

Mariana first discovered an interest in health and nutrition after experiencing family members suffer from various health conditions. Since then, she’s worked with some of the UK’s top beauty gurus and medi-spas, including Bliss, Calmia, Halo and Belsize Health. She’s been fortunate to work and learn with leading health and beauty professionals who have brought pioneering, inspirational therapies and treatments to the UK, including Bharti Vyas and Marcia Kilgore, as well as Errol. She’s also worked at the Cancerkin Foundation at the Royal Free Hospital, helping cancer patients with pre and post operative care.

Mariana is a medical health practitioner committed to providing holistic, personalised, natural treatments, combining Eastern and Western health care philosophies to create treatment plans to prevent injuries and help the body heal, addressing chronic injuries and physical dysfunction, as well as relieving the stresses of everyday life. Mariana brings a sense of dedication, patience and compassion to her work and uses hands-on techniques to maintain a client’s body and spirit at its optimal potential!

Mariana sees body therapy not as a luxury but as a necessity in today’s stressful world, allowing you to move beyond your present health limits and supporting you on your healing path. She says ‘Massage is the oldest and simplest form of healing. A powerful tool for relaxing the body, calming the mind, increasing body awareness and empowering self-healing, it can help you connect to yourself, leaving you feeling refreshed and un-distracted. The humble art of ‘a Listening Touch’ emits a powerful electro-magnetic field that can manipulate the surroundings.’

Mariana’s experience of working with professional sports injury was called upon during the 2012 London Olympics to provide treatment for both pre and post events for various disciplines within Team GB and she continues to work with sports professionals both in the UK and abroad.
